The History of the Bakery
Champagne's Breaux Bridge Bakery was established in 1888 by George Champagne...my Great, Great Uncle. Aquired by Onezime Champagne, George Champagne's brother in 1920, my Great Grandfather. A short 13 years later my Grandfather, Sidney Champagne then aquired the business in 1933. After transforming the small store front into a thriving full service bakery, it was then purchased by my father, Sidney (Sonny) Champagne Jr. in 1972. Over the next couple decades Champagne's Breaux Bridge Bakery became what it is today. At this time. I, Paul Champagne, along with my father Sonny Champagne, currently own and operate the same full service bakery everyone has trusted and adored for over 120 years. While at this time we only offer our famous "Pink Cookies" for purchase here on our website. We are the same company that has for decades produced dozens of unique pastries along with countless desserts for local resturaunts. We've also been a long time wholesaler of our famous french bread and poboy bread wich we also have been delivering fresh every day to many many local resturaunts. It's this commitment we stand by that keeps our current customers satisfied with our product and service.
